A3 is our most popular size, and the most forgiving. It is large enough to hold its own on a wall and small enough to group with others, which makes it the natural choice for gallery walls, hallways and kitchens.

What A3 suits
- Gallery walls, alone or in a set of three or more
- Kitchens and hallways where space is tighter
- Above a bedside table or a narrow shelf
- Offices and rented rooms where a large piece is impractical
A3 prints are the easiest to rearrange. If you are unsure where a piece will live, this is the size to start with.
Framing an A3 print
A3 frames are the cheapest to buy well — £5–15 buys something perfectly good on the high street. An A3 print in an A2 frame with a mount is the classic upgrade.

Paper and printing
Every A3 print is produced as a giclée reproduction on heavyweight archival paper using pigment inks, so colours hold rather than fading over time.

How big is an A3 print?
A3 is 297 × 420 mm, or 11.7 × 16.5 inches — twice the size of A4.
Is A3 big enough to stand alone?
On a small or medium wall, yes. On a large empty wall, A2 or A1 will sit better.
Is A3 the same as 11×17 inches?
No. A3 is metric, at 11.7 × 16.5 inches. Check millimetres when buying frames from US sellers.
