A2 art prints

A2 is the size most people reach for when they want a print to be clearly the focus of a wall without dominating the room. It reads as a proper piece of art from across the room but still fits above a desk, a chest of drawers or a fireplace.

What A2 suits

• Above a desk, dressing table or chest of drawers
• Bedrooms and studies where A1 would overwhelm
• The anchor piece in a gallery wall of smaller prints
• Above a fireplace or a radiator shelf

An A2 print in an A1 frame with a wide mount is a common gallery treatment and looks considerably more expensive than the frame cost suggests.

Framing an A2 print

A2 frames are widely stocked on the high street. Acrylic is still worth choosing over glass at this size, particularly above a bed or a desk.

Prints are sold unframed. Because A-sizes are an international standard, off-the-shelf frames fit without any bespoke work — see our framing guide for mounts, glazing and hanging heights.

Paper and printing

Every A2 print is produced as a giclée reproduction on heavyweight archival paper using pigment inks, so colours hold rather than fading over time.
